Peter Gammons has brain aneurysm

From espn.com:

Longtime ESPN Baseball analyst Peter Gammons is out of surgery and resting in intensive care after undergoing an operation to treat a brain aneurysm Tuesday. Gammons suffered the aneurysm Tuesday morning near his home on Cape Cod, Mass. He was airlifted to a Boston hospital, where the surgery was performed.

He should be back on his feet and drumming for R.E.M. in no time.

We like to make fun of Peter Gammons at our house especially close to the trade deadline. We suggest increasingly bizzare trade proposals that we "hear" from incredibly removed baseball sources and then say, "I'm Peter Gammons, ESPN." But we kid because we tolerate love. He's one of the best baseball journalists out there (despite working for ESPN) and I hope he recovers as soon as possible.
